The design and gameplay snippets shown during the preview were largely reminiscent of previous generation FPS titles and the core premise seemed to be that of an exciting and fast-paced shoot ’em up. This means Helldivers 2 will have a similar time frame as the Spider-Man 2 release date and the Alan Wake 2 release date so these sequels are seemingly participating in a bit of an unplanned competition.
With this in mind, we can most likely expect it to be launched towards the latter part of the year together with some of the other highly-anticipated games.
